What is Micro Needling?

This treatment is not painful. We use a topical anaesthetic cream on the treatable area so as to numb it. This allows us to carry out the treatment without discomfort.

There is very little downtime. The skin will be slightly red afterwards and this will fade over 24 hours. The skin will also feel warm and a little tight. Make up maybe worn the following day – mineral make up is ideal.

Yes. Because the treatment promotes new collagen & elastin it is especially effective for delicate, sensitive skin. Micro Needling will thicken the skin thus reducing skin sensitivity.

Redness, some flaking and tightness are generally what is seen and felt following treatment. These effects are temporary and skin will look and feel normal within 24-72 hours (depending on the individual)

This will vary depending on the individuals concern. For Post acne scarring, stretch marks etc it can take up to 6 treatments. Very deep lines and wrinkles may need similar treatment. Finer lines can be reduced within 3 treatments. Treatment are generally performed 4 weeks apart. It is recommended that a person has a consultation to determine how many treatments they will need for their specific concern.
